Bright spells and light showers. Rain tonight.

Today:

A sunny start to the day for most parts but cloud will develop as we go through the morning bringing the risk of a few light showers these mainly confined to the hills. The cloud will break up again later. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

Becoming cloudier from the west later this evening with outbreaks of rain spreading into the southwest of the area overnight. Strengthening southeasterly winds touching gale force in the isles. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Sunday:

The rain will quickly spread to the rest of the area in the morning. By early afternoon however brighter and drier conditions will move into the west. Winds easing. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

 Met Office Forecast is as follows:

Further showers with heavy downpours likely, more so across Highland.

Today:

Cloudy with showers with heavy, thundery, downpours, across the Highlands. The showers will, however, ease from the west through the afternoon. The winds will freshen up from the northwest. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Showers will become confined to Speyside and the North Sea coast through the evening, eventually dying out overnight. Elsewhere, a bright then clear end to the day. Chilly inland. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Saturday:

A bright start, but a few showers will develop, these dying out towards the evening. Light breezes, but a freshening southeast wind will develop across the southwest and west later. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Met Office Forecast is as follows:

Mainly dry with sunny spells. Rain this evening.

Today:

A mainly dry, bright day with some sunny spells although the odd shower will develop. Feeling warm. A band of rain reaching Lochaber later this afternoon with extend north this evening with freshening easterly winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

Rain becoming confined to the North Cast early tonight. Becoming drier with clear spells elsewhere but some heavy showers developing later, especially towards Lochaber. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Wednesday:

Sunny intervals and further heavy showers during the day, especially during the morning across the West Highlands. More in the way of sunshine towards Inverness and the Moray Coast. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

It will be a fairly bright evening in the west with just one or two showers, but Inverness and the east will be cloudier and with a risk of longer spells of rain overnight. Moderate or fresh northwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday:

It will be a rather cloudy day with showers or longer spells of rain which could be heavy at times. A few brighter intervals, mainly further southwest. Fresh northwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Today:

Any early mist patches mostly lifting but perhaps persisting on the east coast. Otherwise it will be a bright day with sunshine at times although showers will again occur, some heavy and thundery. Light variable winds. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

The showers should mostly die away although an isolated one may persist, mainly in the west. Patchy mist may also occur, especially around Inverness and the east coast. Light winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Thursday:

Another bright day with any early mist mostly lifting. However, showers can again be expected, some of them being heavy. Winds will be light and rather variable. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Today:

Any early mist patches should soon lift. Otherwise it will be a showery day and some of the showers will be heavy and thundery. Some sunny intervals too, especially over the islands. Mainly light and rather variable winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

The showery weather will continue but again with some drier and clearer spells between times. A few mist patches could also occur. Winds remaining light and variable. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Wednesday:

Another day of sunshine and showers. Again some of the showers could be heavy but with drier and brighter spells too, especially over the islands. Light winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Any rain in far north at first soon clearing. Otherwise bright with some sunshine but scattered showers developing. Some showers will become heavy and possibly thundery, especially away from the West Coast. Light winds. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

Still a few showers at first, otherwise mainly dry overnight with clear spells. Some mist patches forming later in the night. Light winds. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Tuesday:

A bright day with sunny spells but showers breaking out during the morning, becoming more frequent and heavier in the afternoon, again away from the West Coast. Light winds. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Dry this evening and at first tonight across the north however the rain, heavy at times, will soon arrive in the southwest and spread to all parts overnight. Strengthening winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Sunday:

Rain clearing north but stagnating over Caithness and the north coast. Brighter conditions with scattered showers following to all parts these most frequent in the west. Winds easing. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Today:

A bright day with occasional showers and sunny spells, the showers developing more widely, and becoming locally heavy with a risk of thunder, through the late morning and afternoon, especially in the south. Light winds and warm in the east. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Tonight:

Showers gradually die out through the evening to leave a mainly dry night with some clear spells. Some patchy mist and fog will develop especially near coasts. Light winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday:

Haar affecting northern and eastern coasts should gradually clear through the morning to leave sunny spells and scattered, occasionally heavy and perhaps thundery showers. Light winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
