Dry with sunny spells, then wet and windy this evening.

Today:

Dry and bright with plenty of sunshine this morning. Then becoming cloudy with heavy rain reaching West Coast towards evening. Rain accompanied by southerly gales with even a risk of severe gales over the Islands. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, most persistent and heaviest towards Lochaber but lighter, more patchy across the North Highlands. Strong to gale force southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Monday:

Rather cloudy with further rain at times, much of it towards Fort William and Newtonmore. Drier and brighter to northwest of the Great Glen. Strong southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Today:

A mostly cloudy day, although bright towards Inverness and over the south. Some rain at times around the north and northwest, this light and patchy in morning but more persistent later. Light or moderate westerly winds but fresher over coasts. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with freshening northwesterly winds. Further rain across the north and west at times and spreading to most parts overnight. Fresh northwest winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Friday:

Mostly cloudy but some brightness in the south. Occasional rain or showers, especially across Sutherland and Caithness and over the isles, but drier later as winds become north or northeasterly. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Today will be a bright or sunny day with a few showers these mainly affecting the Harris and the Northwest Highlands. Becoming cloudier from the west in the afternoon with outbreaks of rain and strengthening southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud and rain will spread to all parts during the evening and continue throughout the night. This rain will be heaviest over Lochaber and Skye. Strong southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday:

A cloudy day on Monday with outbreaks of rain these again heaviest and most persistent over Lochaber. Strong southwesterly winds. Rain will ease in the evening. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Showers will become largely confined to the west during the evening with clear spells further east during the night. Moderate westerly winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Sunday:

A bright start with a few mainly light showers, then clouding over with outbreaks of rain spreading from the west during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Cloudy with some rain, locally heavy across Lochaber, and quite breezy. Becoming mainly dry and brighter this afternoon with sunny spells developing, though still a few showers towards the West Coast. Winds easing later. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Many places will be dry with clear spells. Heavy showers will develop over the Western Isles and the West Highlands later tonight. Light winds. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday:

Rather cloudy during the morning with all parts at risk from heavy showers, even the risk of thunder. Then fewer showers and more sunshine during the afternoon. Light winds. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Mist and fog patches lifting as sunny spells develop. A scattering of showers around the west coast with the odd one developing further east during the day. Winds mostly light. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Dry with clear spells at first. Thickening cloud and outbreaks of rain soon reaching Lochaber and the Western Isles will extend to the rest of Highland Region during the night. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Friday:

Cloudy with rain, gradually dying out during the morning. Then mainly dry with sunny spells developing. Also a few showers towards West Coast. Fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Mush of Highland bright with sunny spells, but also a few showers, perhaps turning quite heavy. Caithness and Easter Ross cloudier with more in the way of showers at times. Cool and breezy towards Wick, warmer in the west. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Showers will gradually die out though Caithness and Easter Ross will stay overcast and misty with some fog on higher ground. Elsewhere clear, patchy fog, but showers reaching west coast. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Thursday:

Mist and fog patches lifting as sunny spells develop. Showers will spread from the west and may turn quite heavy. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Starting dry in north, some sunshine over Sutherland and Lewis. Otherwise a cloudier day with outbreaks of rain spreading north, this becoming persistent across Caithness later, while Lochaber and the Northwest will brighten up again. Windy, gales in places. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Some rain over Easter Ross, Sutherland and Caithness, this clearing later. Some showers in Lochaber Badenoch and Strathspey, mainly clear in Northwest. Windy, early gales in northeast. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Wednesday:

A bright day with some sunshine especially across the Northwest where it will be a warm day. A few showers, most likely towards Glencoe and Dalwhinnie. Breezy. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

A rather cloudy start in places with a little rain about but becoming brighter through the morning with some long sunny spells developing. Quite warm again especially towards the west coast but a strong southeasterly breeze, with coastal gales. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

Clear spells this evening and for the far north overnight but cloud increasing from the south through the early hours. Patchy rain likely across Lochaber towards dawn. Windy. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Tuesday:

Some brightness expected in the north, especially for Sutherland and Lewis. Otherwise a cloudier day than of late with outbreaks of rain spreading north, becoming persistent across Caithness later. Windy. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Another bright day with some long spells of warm sunshine developing, the best of these across northern parts of Sutherland and towards the Inverness area. A rather breezy day developing though as the southeasterly wind freshens. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Tonight:

Dry for most with clear spells in the north but thicker cloud expected with patchy light rain for Lochaber and the southern Outer Hebrides. Southeasterly gales for western coasts possible. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Monday:

Outbreaks of rain in the southwest largely dying out, otherwise dry with some sunny spells, again especially for more northern parts where it will remain quite warm. Strong southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
