Further showers with heavy downpours likely, more so across Highland.

Today:

Cloudy with showers with heavy, thundery, downpours, across the Highlands. The showers will, however, ease from the west through the afternoon. The winds will freshen up from the northwest. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Showers will become confined to Speyside and the North Sea coast through the evening, eventually dying out overnight. Elsewhere, a bright then clear end to the day. Chilly inland. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Saturday:

A bright start, but a few showers will develop, these dying out towards the evening. Light breezes, but a freshening southeast wind will develop across the southwest and west later. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Sunny spells and showers these turning heavy and thundery again.

Today:

Sunny intervals and scattered showers these becoming heavier and more widespread in the afternoon when they are expected to spawn the occasional thunderstorm these most likely across the east. Mist patches will affect the Caithness coast. Light and variable winds. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Most of the showers will die away this evening to leave a mainly dry night but with mist patches forming. A few showers will continue over the high ground. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Friday:

Bright with sunny intervals and scattered showers again on Friday however, these will tend to be lighter than of late. Misty conditions will continue to plague the Caithness coast. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Showery again.

Today:

Any early mist patches mostly lifting but perhaps persisting on the east coast. Otherwise it will be a bright day with sunshine at times although showers will again occur, some heavy and thundery. Light variable winds. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

The showers should mostly die away although an isolated one may persist, mainly in the west. Patchy mist may also occur, especially around Inverness and the east coast. Light winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Thursday:

Another bright day with any early mist mostly lifting. However, showers can again be expected, some of them being heavy. Winds will be light and rather variable. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Rain becoming confined to North. Turning drier, brighter further south.

Today:

Rain will edge north into the rest of Highland becoming persistent north of Inverness where it will stay cool. Brighter conditions with scattered showers following to more southern districts. Winds easing. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Staying cloudy with still some rain towards the North Coast otherwise drier with some clear spells. Winds will remain light. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Monday:

Any rain in far north at first soon clearing. Otherwise bright with some sunshine but scattered showers developing. Some showers will become heavy and possibly thundery. Light winds. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Haar affecting northern and eastern coasts should gradually clear through the morning to leave sunny spells. Many places starting off dry but scattered showers will develop later this morning with a few heavy and possibly thundery this afternoon. Light winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

Many places will become dry with clear spells. Mist and low cloud will affect North and Northeastern coastal areas. Some showers will return to the Western Isles later. Light winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday:

Mist and low cloud mostly burning off, otherwise sunny spells. Scattered showers breaking out during the morning becoming heavy and thundery away from West Coast in afternoon. Light winds. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

Showers gradually die out through the evening to leave a mainly dry night with some clear spells. Some patchy mist and fog will develop especially near coasts. Light winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday:

Today:

Dry with some very warm sunshine across the north and east but outbreaks of, occasionally heavy and perhaps thundery, showery rain in the southwest edging northeast through the day. Becoming less warm from the southwest. Occasionally fresh southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 26 °C.

Tonight:

Outbreaks of showery rain clearing northeast through the evening with some late sunshine for the west. Mainly dry overnight with some long clear spells. Light winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Saturday:

Cooler than of late but still feeling quite warm with some good spells of sunshine. However scattered, locally heavy and perhaps thundery, showers will develop. Mainly light winds. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Early mist and fog around Eilean Siar clearing to leave some good sunny spells around. However showers develop through the morning, becoming heavy and thundery, with the risk of some torrential downpours, during the afternoon. Hot. Light winds. Maximum temperature 27 °C.

Tonight:

The showers gradually die out this evening with a narrow band of showery, perhaps thundery, rain then edging northeast through the early hours of Friday morning. Mainly light winds. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Friday:

A bright start in the east but the showery, occasionally heavy and thundery, rain continues to edge northeast and develops more widely through the day. Cooler than of late. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Heavy rain clearing to sunshine and showers this afternoon.

Today:

A cloudy start with outbreaks of rain, the rain heavy and persistent at times especially across Lochaber, but brighter conditions with sunny spells and the occasional, locally heavy shower, spread east through the afternoon. Fresh southerly then southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Some late evening sunshine but also some showers followed by clear spells and showers overnight, although towards the Great Glen it should become mostly dry. Occasionally fresh southwest winds. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Thursday:

Sunny spells and locally heavy showers with perhaps the odd rumble of thunder, the showers merging to give some longer spells of rain across the north and west. Breezy. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
