Fairly cloudy with patchy rain. Brighter around Inverness.

Today:

A cloudy start with outbreaks of rain, these mainly over the north and northwest but there will also be some around Inverness at first. Very murky along the west coast but brightening up in the east. Winds light. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Staying murky in the north and northwest with further outbreaks of mainly light rain. Elsewhere it will be dry overnight but fairly cloudy with some mist patches. Feeling muggy. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday:

A drier and brighter day although around the isles there will still be some murky conditions. A warm day but with the risk of showers developing over the high ground. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Mainly dry but rain later.

Today:

Inverness and the Moray coast will be dry for much of the day and some bright or sunny intervals are likely. The islands and the west coast will be damp and misty, and rain will eventually reach Inverness by evening. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

A cloudy night with further outbreaks of rain. Some drier intervals too, especially further east, but the west coast and the islands will be misty. Light to moderate southwest winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday:

A rather cloudy day and with some patchy rain or drizzle, especially over the Northwest Highlands. A few brighter intervals around Inverness. Light to moderate southwest winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Some sunshine. Scattered showers, heaviest in east.

Today:

Bright with some sunshine and scattered showers. Some will be heavy, especially towards the east of the Region. There will be fewer showers and more in the way of sunshine over Western Isles and west of Mainland. Mainly light winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Still some showers this evening, gradually dying out, then mainly dry overnight with clear spells. Quite cold with light northwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Thursday:

Mainly dry, bright start then some showers breaking out during the morning. A few heavier ones in the east during the afternoon but drier, brighter in West. Brisk northwest winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Cloud and rain gradually clearing from the northwest.

Today:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, heaviest over the West Highlands though some also spreading to Inverness and the east. Brighter weather with sunshine and showers reaching the Hebrides this morning will edge erratically southeast later. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

A mixture of clear intervals and occasional showers, these more frequent in the north and west with much of the east becoming clear and dry. Moderate southwest winds will develop. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday:

A bright day with a mixture of sunshine and showers. The showers will be more frequent in the west, though some will form elsewhere from mid-morning. Freshening southwest winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Bright at first around Inverness and into Speyside. However, mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, the odd heavier burst in the west. Becoming drier and brighter over Eilean Siar and near the west coast in the afternoon. Breezy. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Plenty of cloud around with patchy rain at times, mainly through Lochaber around the west coast. Drier spells in the east. The southwest winds mainly light to moderate. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Monday:

Mostly cloudy with occasional rain or showers, but some drier and brighter spells too. Light to moderate south or southwest winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Today:

Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain this morning, although drier and brighter spells around Inverness and through Speyside. The rain heavy at times through the afternoon, becoming drier and brighter in the west later. Occasional strong winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Becoming dry this evening with bright or sunny spells, clear skies at times overnight with a ground frost possible in sheltered glens. Thickening cloud and patchy rain across Eilean Siar. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Sunday:

Eilean Siar and the Northwest Highlands will remain mostly cloudy with patchy rain, much of this light. Brighter spells elsewhere, a few sunny breaks possible around Inverness and Moray Firth. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Today:

Generally a brighter day with some sunny intervals but there will be scattered showers, some of the showers turning heavy, especially during the afternoon with a risk of thunder. Fewer showers over the Islands and west of Mainland. Light winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Still some showers but they will become fewer and lighter. Also clear spells and a few mist patches. Showers will become more frequent in west by morning. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Wednesday:

Showers developing in most places during the morning with some heavier ones by afternoon. Still some sunshine in between the showers. Light or moderate southerly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Dry start in North and East, otherwise rain at times.

Today:

A dry start towards Inverness and Wick but rain will spread quickly northeastwards to all parts during the morning. Heavy rain in the West in afternoon, then drier weather extending to all parts this evening. Southwesterly winds becoming strong. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Showers in west merging into longer spells of rain. Drier with clear spells in the East. Southwest winds increasing to gale force with risk of severe gales in Northwest later. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Thursday:

Showers or longer spells of rain although drier and brighter for a time around middle of the day. Strong to gale force southwest winds. Severe gales in Northwest at first. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Cloudy with further rain, this again persistent and heavy in the west but more patchy further east. Turning brighter and drier later in the afternoon. Fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
