Rain becoming confined to North. Turning drier, brighter further south.

Today:

Rain will edge north into the rest of Highland becoming persistent north of Inverness where it will stay cool. Brighter conditions with scattered showers following to more southern districts. Winds easing. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Staying cloudy with still some rain towards the North Coast otherwise drier with some clear spells. Winds will remain light. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Monday:

Any rain in far north at first soon clearing. Otherwise bright with some sunshine but scattered showers developing. Some showers will become heavy and possibly thundery. Light winds. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Met Office Forecast is as follows

A few showers in the north otherwise dry and bright.

Today:

Cloudy along the north coast and across Caithness with a few light showers. Elsewhere it will be a fine dry day with bright or sunny intervals the best of these over the southwest. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Dry this evening and overnight with some clear spells these allowing a few mist patches to form. Light winds. Staying cloudier along the north coast and in Caithness. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Saturday:

A dry and bright start to the day on Saturday. However it will gradually cloud over with rain spreading in from the west this turning heavy at times. Strengthening winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Mainly dry with some bright spells, especially in South.

Today:

Rather cloudy and cool in the North with still a few light showers. Mainly dry with some sunshine further south. Lighter northwesterly winds but still fresh along the north and Northeast coast. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Most places will stay dry with some clear spells towards Lochaber but rather cloudy elsewhere. There will continue to be a few light showers. Brisk northwest winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Thursday:

A brighter day with some sunshine but still some light showers, mainly over the north of the Region. Feeling cool again in the fresh northwesterly wind. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Scattered showers, mainly across the north and east with just the odd one elsewhere. The best of the sunshine will be found on the west coast to the south of Skye. Fresh northerly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Still a few showers towards the North Coast. Mainly dry elsewhere with clear spells. A cooler night than of late with a fresh northwesterly wind. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Wednesday:

Rather cloudy and cool in the North with still a few light showers. Mainly dry with some sunshine further south. Lighter northwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Met Office Forecast is as follows

Sunny or clear spells. Warm

Today:

Cloudy over Caithness with coastal fog, this lingering throughout the day. Elsewhere dry and sunny from first light and becoming very warm. Light to moderate southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Tonight:

Dry this evening and overnight with some mist patches forming in the glens and around the lochs. Sea fog will continue to drift onto the Caithness coast at times. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Friday:

Any overnight inland mist patches will soon dissolve away leaving most parts with another sunny day. Staying cloudier around the Caithness coast with outbreaks of rain during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Fairly cloudy with patchy rain. Brighter around Inverness.

Today:

A cloudy start with outbreaks of rain, these mainly over the north and northwest but there will also be some around Inverness at first. Very murky along the west coast but brightening up in the east. Winds light. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Staying murky in the north and northwest with further outbreaks of mainly light rain. Elsewhere it will be dry overnight but fairly cloudy with some mist patches. Feeling muggy. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday:

A drier and brighter day although around the isles there will still be some murky conditions. A warm day but with the risk of showers developing over the high ground. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Inverness and the Moray coast will be dry for much of the day and some bright or sunny intervals are likely. The islands and the west coast will be damp and misty, and rain will eventually reach Inverness by evening. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

A cloudy night with further outbreaks of rain. Some drier intervals too, especially further east, but the west coast and the islands will be misty. Light to moderate southwest winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday:

A rather cloudy day and with some patchy rain or drizzle, especially over the Northwest Highlands. A few brighter intervals around Inverness. Light to moderate southwest winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

A generallly fine evening and night but thickening cloud, mist and rain will be spreading across the islands and onto the west coast. Light southwest winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Sunday:

Mainly fine around Inverness and the Moray coast but rain on the west coast will be spreading eastwards towards evening. Light to moderate southwest winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Scattered heavy showers will linger this evening though most areas will have some late sunshine. Patchy mist or low cloud across Caithness and Sutherland and the Isles, some drizzle. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Sunday:

Bright with sunny intervals and scattered heavy showers, some thundery. Low cloud and mist may linger near east facing coasts. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

The north and east will be rather cloudy with the odd light shower but some sunny intervals will develop. Sunnier across Skye Lochalsh and Lochaber but even here the odd sharp shower is likely. Cool with moderate northeast winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Isolated showers will continue near northern and eastern facing coasts. Becoming dry elsewhere with some clear spells. A cold night, grass frost in places. Light winds. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Sunday:

A mainly dry start with some sunshine. Scattered showers around northern and eastern coasts also developing in other areas through the day though some places staying dry. Rather cool. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
