Met Office Forecast is as follows:

Bright spells and light showers. Rain tonight.

Today:

A sunny start to the day for most parts but cloud will develop as we go through the morning bringing the risk of a few light showers these mainly confined to the hills. The cloud will break up again later. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

Becoming cloudier from the west later this evening with outbreaks of rain spreading into the southwest of the area overnight. Strengthening southeasterly winds touching gale force in the isles. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Sunday:

The rain will quickly spread to the rest of the area in the morning. By early afternoon however brighter and drier conditions will move into the west. Winds easing. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Inverness Highland Scotland Weather 1st July 2009

Met Office Forecast is as follows

Mist burning back to the coast, otherwise sunshine and showers.

Today:

Low cloud and mist in east clears to leave sunny spells and occasional heavy, perhaps thundery, showers. These showers could merge to give longer spells of rain across the west. It will feel warm in the sunshine. Light winds. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight:

Showers will become confined to the northwest and west. Bright then clear spells are likely elsewhere, but low cloud and mist will spread will spread inland from the coasts. Humid. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Thursday:

Mist will burn back to the coasts. The sunshine will set off showers, some heavy and thundery. These showers will become confined to West Highland and Hebrides through the evening. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Some sunshine and scattered heavy showers on Sunday.

Today:

Low cloud and mist across Caithness down to Easter Ross and the Inverness area will lift inland but linger towards coasts. Elsewhere bright with sunny intervals and scattered heavy showers, some turning heavy, prolonged and thundery. Winds remaining light. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Much of the north and west will become dry with some clear spells and mist patches. Badenoch Strathspey and Lochaber will be cloudier with some showers. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Monday:

Much of the north and west will be bright with sunny spells and scattered showers. Cloudier towards Aviemore and Glencoe with some showery rain. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Hill and coastal fog across the northwest. Otherwise, warm sunshine.

Today:

Hill and coastal fog will affect parts of Eilean Siar and northwest Highland. Otherwise, bright or sunny, although an isolated shower could break out across the Highlands. Light and variable winds. Still warm or very warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight:

Low cloud will become extensive around the coasts overnight. A light or moderate north or northeast breeze will develop, which will carry the mist or fog inland. Mild. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Tuesday:

Thickening cloud will bring some rain or drizzle. Brighter, cooler, conditions will follow from the north. The north or northeasterly breezes, strong for a time through the Minch. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

A bright day with plenty of sunshine and becoming warm or very warm again. However, there is a small risk of a shower over Eilean Siar and the Northwest Highlands. Moderate, occasionally fresh south or southeast winds. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight:

A fine end to the day then staying dry across the mainland with well broken cloud, clear skies at times. Thicker cloud possibly affecting Eilean Siar with patchy rain. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Sunday:

Another dry and bright day for much of the area with sunny spells. Thicker cloud could affect Eilean Siar at times with the risk of rain. Winds mostly light. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Today:

Another dry and fine day with plenty of sunshine. However, patchy cloud is possible through Caithness and Sutherland. Moderate to fresh east or southeast winds. Generally warm, but cool around North Sea coasts. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

A fine end to the day with plenty of sunshine, staying dry with well broken cloud overnight. Still the risk of thicker cloud near windward North Sea coasts. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday:

Staying dry with bright and sunny spells, the best of the sunshine in the west, where it will be warm again. Fresh easterly winds, strong at times around the coast. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Cool onshore breezes in northeast, otherwise warm sunshine.

Today:

Frost will lift from sheltered glens and low cloud will burn off to reveal another bright or sunny day. An east or southeasterly breeze will keep things chilly in eastern Sutherland and eastern Caithness, otherwise it should feel pleasantly warm. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Showers will spread up the west coast as far as southwest Highland and Harris. Clear spells elsewhere with a touch of ground frost in sheltered glens. East or southeasterly breezes. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Thursday:

Showers will die out leaving another bright day with some warm sunshine. Onshore breezes will keep eastern Sutherland and eastern Caithness somewhat colder and cloudier, at times. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Bright with scattered showers at first this evening. Thickening cloud will bring more general rain in from the west, the rain becoming persistent and heavy over the West Highlands tonight but remaining patchy around Inverness and the east coast. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Monday:

Cloudy with further rain, this again persistent and heavy in the west but more patchy further east. Turning brighter and drier later in the afternoon. Fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Rain will be fairly persistent in the west overnight but lighter and more patchy around Inverness and the east coast. Light to moderate southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Monday:
