Today:

Sunny spells and heavy wintry showers through the day with snow on the hills. The showers most frequent in the west with the best of sunshine for Inverness and towards the Great Glen. Occasionally strong southwesterly winds in the west. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Further blustery wintry showers through the evening and overnight, easing for a time around midnight. Many eastern parts largely dry with clear spells and a touch of frost in shelter. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Monday:

Another day of occasionally heavy wintry showers and brief sunny spells. Once again the showers most frequent in the north and west. Feeling very cold in the strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Further wintry showers, some heavy and still rather frequent across coasts and isles. Winds easing away from the coast with some clear intervals and a frost in places. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Sunday:

Bright and breezy with further wintry showers, heaviest and most frequent around the coast and isles. Some sunshine, especially towards Inverness and the Great Glen where less windy. Overnight frost. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Rain clearing in evening followed by scattered showers, these becoming wintry in places by morning. Easterly winds in north at first, otherwise strong or gale force southwest then westerly winds. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Saturday:

Bright intervals and wintry showers on strong westerly winds. Frequent showers in west, but some sunshine, especially towards Inverness. Feeling cold. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Bright intervals and snow showers at first with strong winds these mainly in west. An area of rain and hill snow moving in from the west this accompanied by severe gale or possibly storm force winds especially in the Minches. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with rain and hill snow at first but soon being replaced by clear spells and wintry showers. Severe gale force southwesterly winds veering westerly and easing in the south. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Friday:

Wintry showers at first then another organised area of rain and hill snow moving in from the west, snow heaviest over Caithness. Staying very windy with gales or severe gales. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

A cloudy and wet start especially over Lochaber and the northwest this falling as snow over the hills. This rain will gradually clear east to be followed by brighter conditions with showers. These showers will turn heavy and wintry. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

The heavy showers will continue in the west these turning wintry to low levels. A colder night with a frost developing. Gale force southwesterly winds possibly reaching severe gale force. Minimum temperature -3 °C.

Thursday:

Heavy blustery showers continuing to affect the west and north these wintry to all levels. Gale to severe gale force southwesterly winds. More general rain later. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

The showers, wintry on the hills, will die out this evening as rain spreads into all parts overnight. The persistent rain will be heavy at times. Windy with further gales. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Wednesday:

The rain will clear from the west into the afternoon. Turning brighter as blustery showers follow, heavy and frequent at times, and turning wintry on the hills. Further gales. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

The persistent, occasionally heavy, rain will continue at first this evening before clearing all parts during the early hours, although showers will develop later. Strong to gale force winds continuing. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Tuesday:

A bright day with sunnier spells and scattered blustery showers, falling as snow on the hills, and prolonged for a time. The southwest winds will remain strong to gale force. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Mostly cloudy and although many places will be dry this morning, rain will develop over the Western Isles. The rain with snow on hills will extend to many places this afternoon. Staying drier and brighter towards Inverness. Strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

The Islands and West Highlands will stay cloudy with patchy light rain. Mainly dry further east with a few clear spells. Fresh southwesterly winds but strong on the West Coast. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Monday:

Cloudy with rain becoming persistent and heavy over the West Highlands. Still some drier weather towards Inverness and Nairn. Gale force southwesterly winds with severe gales on the West Coast. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
